Electrified-Indie-Rock

Kites in Lightning is an indie rock band from Northern Colorado. Although the group is relatively new, none of its members are new to what it takes to be a great band and to write good music. Band leader and singer-songwriter Ben Haugestuen has assembled an electric cast of characters to bring new originals and creative covers to life. With influences like Radiohead, the Flaming Lips, Sufjan Stevens, Death Cab for Cutie, Elliott Smith, the National, Arcade Fire, Fleet Foxes, the Decemberists, and so many others, Kites in Lightning can fully lean into the indie rock genre that they love.  

 

Kites in Lightning released a few singles in 2023-2024 but now they are taking a break from playing shows and are back in the studio working on a full length LP to be released in 2025.
